Christian Jörg is VAIT´s Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held since January 2025.

With over three decades of experience in the agriculture, banking, inspection and food security sectors, Christian Jörg leads a team of 690 professionals. In his first year, he transformed the company into an agriculture business focusing on agriculture commodities and machinery. He closed and sold non-core business sectors and reorganised the management team. Under his leadership, he strengthens VAIT´s existing supply chains and drives operational efficiencies.

After numerous positions in Europe, America, Asia, and Australia (including at SGS, UBS, and Viterra), Christian Jörg most recently held a senior position at the Saudi Arabian company SALIC, where he was responsible for trading, supply chain, and infrastructure investments.

“I am very much looking forward to further developing one of Austria’s largest trading companies in my new role. In times of economic upheaval and change, we must prove ourselves on international markets around the world. Tackling this challenge with a motivated workforce is a great responsibility.
